URA launches tender for industrial sites

URA launches tender for industrial sites at Bukit Batok Street 23 and Yishun Avenue 9 (Parcel 5).

The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) has launched 2 industrial sites at Bukit Batok Street 23 and Yishun Avenue 9 (Parcel 5) for sale by public tender today.

These 2 sites are part of the 16 industrial sites announced for sale under the Confirmed List of the 1st half 2012 Industrial Government Land Sales Programme.

Both sites have a maximum permissible gross plot ratio of 2.5 and can be developed for various uses such as light industry, clean industry, utilities or telecommunication.

The tender for the industrial sites at Bukit Batok Street 23 and Yishun Avenue 9 (Parcel 5) will close at 12 noon on 22 August 2012 and 30 August 2012 respectively.

Land Parcel at Bukit Batok Street 23
The Land Parcel at Bukit Batok Street 23 has a site area of about 1.5 ha and is to be developed for Business 1 uses. The site has a maximum permissible gross plot ratio of 2.5 and a lease period of 30 years.

Land Parcel at Yishun Avenue 9 (Parcel 5)
Land Parcel 5 at Yishun Avenue 9 has a site area of about 2 ha and is to be developed for Business 1 uses. The site has a maximum permissible gross plot ratio of 2.5 and a lease period of 30 years.
Both sites are zoned Business 1 which can be developed for various uses such as light industry, clean industry, utilities or telecommunication uses, as permitted under the Planning Act.

6 bids for tender at Farrer Drive residential site

The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) closed the tender for the residential site at Farrer Drive today.

The site at Farrer Drive was launched for sale by public tender on 24 May 2012. It was originally on the Reserve List of the Government Land Sales Programme. URA had, on 11 May 2012, accepted a successful application for the site to be put up for sale. The site was offered for sale on a 99-year lease.

With a site area of about 0.63 ha, the residential site will have a maximum permissible gross floor area (GFA) of 10,030 sqm.

A total of 6 bids were received. The highest bid is by Singland Development Pte. Ltd. at S$113.2m. The next highest is by Far East Soho Pte. Ltd. at S$102.78m.

A decision on the award of the tender will be made after the bids have been evaluated. This will be publicised at a later date.
