Consult HDB residents on 24-hour coffee shops

The Housing and Development Board (HDB) should not give out 24-hour licences to coffee shop operators without doing some surveys and considering the residents of flats nearby.

I have been living in my present flat for 31 years, and the coffee shops nearby have been operating until midnight. But one of the coffee shops was recently leased out and now operates around the clock.

I am not against the hours of operation if the operator were considerate about minimising the noise in the middle of the night. But I have complained to the HDB about the noise and was told that others have also complained.

The relevant authority should do something about this issue of noise nuisance.
