Sengkang BTO project sees biggest demand

Flats in Sengkang saw the highest interest at the close of May’s Build-to-Order (BTO) applications.

As of 5pm on 5 June, the first timer application rate for four-room units at Sengkang’s Compassvale Boardwalk was 3.8.

Five-room units in the same area saw 2.9 first timer applicants per flat.

Kallang-Whampoa was the second most popular area, with 2.8 first timer applicants applying for a four-room unit.

A total of 11,410 applications were received for the 4,627 units released, including studio apartments.

Kallang-Whampoa and Sengkang appear to be the most popular areas in the latest Build-To-Order (BTO) launch in May.

Four-room units in Sengkang were especially popular with the units oversubscribed by 1.7 times.

There was also high demand for these units in Kallang-Whampoa despite the relatively high prices of between S$460,000 and S$590,000.

As of 5pm on 31 May, close to 3,500 applicants had applied for more than 4,600 BTO units.

The next BTO launch will be in July.
