Punggol EC nearly 60% sold on booking day

Close to 60 percent of all units at the Ecopolitan executive condominium (EC) in Punggol were sold during its booking period, supported by keen interest for its CoSpace concept.

CoSpace is an innovative feature that allows buyers to reconfigure homes based on their needs. The CoSpace units were 60 percent sold.

Li Jun, General Manager of the developer Qingjian Realty, said: “The enthusiasm shown by the home buyers throughout the application and booking process has been very encouraging. Today’s home buyers are particularly interested in our five-bedroom units, which are almost fully sold. By selecting CoSpace, home owners will enjoy flexibility in designing their family home for future generations to come. We will continue to include CoSpace in all our upcoming projects.”

The EC also benefits from its prime location, and is just an eight-minute walk to Punggol MRT station, bus interchange and the future Waterway Point.

ERA Realty sold to Indonesian firm for over $100m

ERA Realty Network, the largest real estate agency in Singapore, has been sold to Indonesian private equity firm Northstar Group for over S$100 million, months after owner Harry Chua put it up for sale.

According to media reports, the master franchise rights to the ERA name in Asia Pacific was sold for less than the S$150 million price tag that Chua’s Hersing Corporation is said to have asked for.

Sources revealed that final tweaks to the deal are being done and will include Singapore franchise rights to Coldwell Banker, which is currently a dormant business here. Both Coldwell Banker and ERA are owned by US brokerage Realogy Holdings Corp.

ERA employs more than 5,000 agents in Singapore, making it the largest agency in terms of agent numbers. It also handles billions of dollars’ worth of deals annually, which makes up a large part of Hersing’s profit.
