Singapore to offer more land to boost homes, offices, hotels

Singapore will introduce 19 sites on its so-called confirmed list and 24 properties on its reserved list in the second half.

The sites could accomodate 14,200 homes, 2.9 million square feet of commercial space and 3,700 hotel rooms, according to a statement on the website of the Urban Redevelopment Authority today. Most of the residential sites are located away from the city’s downtown area. Those on the confirmed list will be sold to the highest bidder while auctions for sites on the reserved list will start when the government gets an offer that matches its undisclosed minimum price.
