RSH opens 1st Bershka store at Ion Orchard

LIFESTYLE group RSH Limited – which has snagged the rights to sell Spanish fashion label Bershka in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand – has officially opened its inaugural Bershka store here at Ion Orchard.

Targeted at mid-teen girls and young adult women, Bershka is one of the youngest brands in the Inditex Group.

RSH currently has four Inditex brands in its portfolio – Zara, Massimo Dutti, Pull and Bear as well as Bershka.

Kesri Kapur, RSH’s group chief operating officer said: ‘Bershka fulfils the fast-growing demands of the youth market, a customer segment that is expanding strongly and increasingly asserting its influence in the fashion industry. We are confident Bershka will add to the strength of our fashion business, it broadens our customer base and fortifies our product mix.’

The Bershka chain has more than 600 stores in 42 countries with sales exceeding 1.1 billion euros (S$2.2 billion), which represents 10 per cent of total revenue for Inditex.
